The 13th International conference on LiDAR Applications for Assessing forest ecosystems was held in Beijing in early October this year. Attendees have been presented latest research topics and some stunning improvements in LiDAR processing techniques for forestry applications.
A team of researchers from the university of Twente, The Netherlands teamed up with rapidlasso GmbH, Germany to develop a workflow to extract a pit-free CHM from a pointcloud acquired with a RIEGL VQ-480i. Anahita Khosravipour gave an enlightning presentation of the impressive results.
