INTERGEO 2011 Review

This year's INTERGEO brought us to Franconia, to the capital of gingerbread and Christkindlmarkt: Nuremberg in Germany.

Having used our booth setup for the past three years, we decided that it was time for a change and developed an overall new booth design, as already announced in the last issue of our newsletter. We were excited about the lively reactions from fair visitors and we are sincerely happy that they consistently proved to be very positive.
You have not been to Nuremberg? Then have a look at our picture gallery in order to get an impression of the booth.

It goes without saying that we had our demo vehicle with the newly designed VMX-250 in the outdoor area of the fair again. Our VMX experts were really busy as, again, many visitors wanted to catch a glimpse of the system's unique features and the workflow, and experience a short demo ride.

However, not only the design of our booth was new, but this may have accentuated the fact that many new products were introduced. Find more details about the new products in the respective article of this newsletter.

A new RIEGL image movie was displayed on two large screens to welcome our visitors. This new video gives a brief overview about the RIEGL divisions and its worldwide operations, and will be available on the RIEGL YouTube Channel shortly.

One thing that, with good cause, has not been altered is our INTERGEO co-operation with our business partners: ArcTron, Milan Geoservice GmbH, Airborne Hydro Mapping, technet-rail and Phocad presented their products and services directly on our booth. The co-operation with renowned partners is crucial for RIEGL and their exhibiting at the RIEGL booth is highly appreciated.

INTERGEO is not only important for introducing new products and services, but also for meeting our partners from all over the world. At this year's traditional RIEGL INTERGEO dinner, we had more guests than ever before. 80 people from all continents joined us in an entertaining evening with traditional Franconian dishes. Everyone seemed to enjoy the dinner and some allowed the evening to end with a lively get-together in a bar right in the old town of Nuremberg.

Next year, INTERGEO is going to move towards North. We hope to see many of you in Hannover in October 2012!
